Garbage 45

by

People in the villages of Malawi have virtually no garbage. It is just so odd to see no garbage. But they don’t have: potato chip wrappers, paper towel, candy wrappers, napkins, deodorant with a plastic casing and then a box around it, junk mail. They have very few plastic bottles and bags, and they use them.  When Semu goes to town, he buys a paper. That is used for starting the fire, for hot pads and for TP. Any food scraps are thrown out the door and gobbled up by the goats, dogs, and chickens. The occasional plastic bottle is a treasure to a child, used as a toy or water holder. So how come I have SO MUCH garbage? Well, probably because I eat too much JUNK FOOD!
